Heliochron is designed for local, on-device sunlight planning. This page gives users a clear place to understand common issues and reach the developer for app support.

Using the instrument

Start with the sun path

Open the app and allow camera and location access. There is no skyline sweep to complete first. Sun opens the separate time-of-day and date wheels; Now returns to the current time.

A painted obstacle needs correction

Paint directly over the tree, roof, or wall. Open Obstacles to erase, undo, redo, or adjust the brush size. Look mode lets you explore without adding marks. These are manual marks, not automatically detected objects.

AR paths are misaligned

Pause and let tracking settle outdoors. Move away from magnetic interference such as cars or metal railings. Settings includes compass correction and tracking restart. Painted obstacles belong to one viewpoint: check their alignment when returning to a saved place.

Data And Privacy

Heliochron does not require an account in the current version. Saved places stay on the device unless a user chooses to export an image through iOS sharing controls.

Professional Use

Heliochron is for personal observation and exploration. It is not a certified PV design, survey, or compliance tool.
