1. Summary

DropMachine processes PDF and image files locally on your device. We do not upload your documents or images to our servers in order to reduce them. We do not read, analyze, or store the content of your files as part of the core product experience.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect limited information in the following categories:

• Contact information you choose to send when you email support.
• Basic transaction records provided by Apple for App Store purchases and refunds.
• Minimal website analytics, if enabled, such as page views, approximate region, device type, and referral source.

We do not collect the contents of the PDFs or images you reduce. We do not operate a cloud processing service for DropMachine.

3. Information Processed On Your Device

When you use the app, file processing happens locally on your Mac. The app may temporarily create local working files and local backup copies so that size reduction can complete safely and you can recover originals within the retention period you choose.

These files stay on your device unless you move, sync, or back them up using your own storage or services.

4. How We Use Information

Any limited information we receive is used to:

• provide customer support,
• maintain and improve the website and app,
• understand high-level product usage trends, and
• meet legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations.

5. Legal Bases

Where applicable, we process personal information on one or more of these bases:

• to perform a contract with you,
• to comply with legal obligations,
• for our legitimate interests in operating and improving DropMachine, and
• with your consent where consent is required.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We may share limited information with:

• Apple and payment-related providers for App Store transactions,
• service providers that help us host the website, email, or analytics, and
• authorities or advisors when required by law or needed to protect our rights.

7. Data Retention

Support emails and business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, operate the business, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Files processed by the app remain on your device and are retained according to your own settings and actions inside the app.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

If service providers process information in other countries, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place where required by law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to request a copy of it.

DropMachine is not directed to children under the age at which consent is required in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
